Systematically Exploring Energy Conservation

EnergyStar has created a five-stage model for energy conservation and efficiency in buildings as see in Figure 6. Much of the information that follows in this module is adapted from EnergyStar’s guides for small businesses and congregations, both of which use this model.

This module focuses on the first three stages, since the analysis and upgrades in these areas are more suited to small and medium sized offices that may not have their own facilities personnel or may rent their office space.
