High Pressure Sprays
Environment
- Most environmental issues are related to the cleaning liquid used.
- This type of equipment can consume cleaning liquid and generate waste at rates exceeding 10 gal/min. Most systems can be designed to recirculate the cleaning liquid through a storage tank. The contaminant that has been removed from the part can then settle out or be separated from the cleaning liquid.
- The contaminant removed from the part may become a waste that must be disposed of or treated.
- Make sure that your supply of water is adequate for the anticipated requirements. In some areas, availability of new water permits is limited.
- Do NOT assume that if you use water you can spray in the open and allow the water to run to drain. Check with your local water and sewer authorities first.
- Beware of the effluent foaming potential of some chemical additives.
