Abrasives Safety Operators require protection from fine particles suspended in the air. Noise levels should be monitored and hearing protection provided, if needed. Wheat starch dust below 125 æ m is explosive. Avoid open flames, smoking, friction, sparks, static sparks, welding and cutting tools in concentrated dust. Avoid contact with water.
