COLORADO ENTERPRISE FUND

DESCRIPTION:

The Colorado Enterprise Fund is a non-profit community development financial institution founded in 1976 to help people start or expand small businesses. This fund provides business loans and management assistance to entrepreneurs who are unable to obtain financing from traditional sources. The Colorado Enterprise Fund offers loans through two programs: The Denver Metro Area Loan Program and the Boulder Microloan Program.

ELIGIBILITY:

·         Must be in the 6 metro Denver counties which they serve

·         Have a Boulder-based business for the Boulder Microloan Program

·         Have a sound idea for a new small business

·         Currently own a small business and want to expand or upgrade

·         Have enthusiasm and energy to make their small business grow

PURPOSE:

The Colorado Enterprise Fund is trying to bridge the gap for business which might qualify for a bank loan someday, but need a little time to grow before they're ready. They also want to support women, ethnic minorities, and low-to-moderate income people.
