Livestock Odor Control Additives: Protocol for Evaluation
The Animal and Poultry Waste-Management Center

A protocol was developed for the evaluation of the efficacy of manure and feed additives designed to control odor. This protocol is being used in the Animal and Poultry Waste-Management Center Environmental Services Laboratory. Thus far, the protocol has been used to evaluate 15 commercially available products. Each evaluation costs approximately $7,000. Evaluation costs are paid by the product producer.
