Recovery of Solids from Flushed Swine Manure for Utilization This funding was used primarily to purchase equipment that is being used to determine the carbon and nitrogen content of swine waste. Determining nutrient content is necessary in order to evaluate waste for use as fertilizer, a soil amendment or animal feed additive.
