First International Symposium on Incineration and Flue Gas Treatment,

July 7-8, Sheffield University, U.K. Sponsored by the University of Sheffield, the Institution of Chemical Engineers, and the Institute of Energy. Papers are invited on all aspects of waste incineration and flue gas treatment technologies, including:

• national and international waste disposal legislation and compliance;
• risk assessment;
• recycling, recovery, and minimization of wastes;
• thermal treatment technologies, like pyrolysis and gasification; and
• nonthermal waste treatment methods, like landfilling and composting/biogasification.
