Environmental management
homepage news

The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management homepage provides regulatory, environmental technology, and resource information to Internet users. Connecting to the homepage through the World Wide Web at the Internet address, http://www.em.doe.gov, gives users access through menus, searching, or the infomap.

Selecting the "New" section of the homepage provides users with the latest issues of the Federal Register Digest and the Packaging and Transportation Safety Digest. Also available are the RCRA Corrective Action and CERCLA Remedial Action Reference Guide; DOE's Quarterly Solid Waste Reduction, Recycling, and Affirmative Procurement Bulletin; seminars; and courses.

Also through EM's homepage, Internet users can access speeches by DOE Assistant Secretary for Environmental Management Thomas Grumbly. Since January 1995, 11 speeches have been placed online. The speeches include Grumbly's talk at the Smith Barney Conference on Federal Environmental Programs; Congressional testimony to the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources; and a statement to the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Superfund, Waste Control, and Risk Assessment.

To directly connect to Grumbly's speeches through the World Wide Web, type the address http://www.em.doe.gov/grumbly/grumbly/index.html. Each speech can be read online, downloaded, and printed.
