Have you ever brought so much literature back from a meeting that your luggage outweighed you? The Office of Technology Development at the U.S. Department of Energy has come up with a way to disseminate printed information without felling the forest—technology cards. A packet of 2.5 by 3.5 inch cards showcases 24 different OTD-developed environmental technologies for radioactive and hazardous waste remediation that are ready for transfer.
Each card contains a color photograph of the technology on one side and a description, lists of applications and benefits, and a toll-free telephone number to obtain additional information, on the other side.
To receive a packet of technology cards, call the Center for Environmental Management Information at (800) 736-3282; in Washington, D.C. (202) 863-5084.
