Xeriscape Home | Xeriscape Principles | Xeriscape Plant List | More Information

In this guide we have listed examples of plants that will thrive in many parts of north and east-central Florida. However, not every plant listed here is appropriate for every yard. This list is not meant to be a complete guide to all Xeriscape plants. You probably will choose some plants not listed in the following pages.

Consider this list a good starting point. Then talk with a local nurseryman or your county cooperative extension agent to choose the right plants for your landscape. Remember that different plants have different needs for soil, water and sunlight. Match these needs with appropriate conditions in your landscape. Above all, put the right plant in the right spot!
