Blue Eco Angel - Umweltzeichen
http://www.blauer-engel.de/Englisch/index.htm
Consumers in Germany call it the "Blue Eco
Angel". Its official name is "Umweltzeichen" (Environmental
Label or the "Eco-Mark"). What they are referring to is a special
logo, which has for two decades now been a symbol for products with positive
environmental features on the German market. Nearly 4,000 products now bear the
mark. This success is proof of the increased environmental awareness both of producers
and of consumers.
California Clean
http://www.californiaclean.com/who.html
The California Clean story began in 1988, when a group

grown to become an internationally known organization that has received extensive
recognition in the news media and from other environmental organizations. CCGA
focuses on grower education and research, giving farmers a forum to share
knowledge about natural farming.

Green Claims
Consumers International, Green
Claims-Environmental Claims on Products and Packaging in the Shops: an
international study. The study reports that consumers are finding environmental
labels confusing and misleading. The study was conducted in 10 countries
including Australia, Austria, Belgium, China HKSAR, Denmark, Germany, the
Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom and the United States. The study compared
how green labeling of common household products stood up to the International
Standards Organization ISO 14021 standard. The ISO standard bans vague and
misleading terms, claims of achieving sustainability, and claims that can be
misinterpreted. The report was produced by Consumers International's Office for
Developed and Transition Economies and researched and written by the UK's
National Consumer Council, in cooperation with consumer organizations in 10
participating countries.
