In recent years, waste plastics has been showing a rapid increase in its social and industrial needs.
Hitachi Zosen has developed a process of oil reclamation system to solve a problem for waste plastics.
This process mainly consists of crusher, thermal cracking retort and oil condenser.
At temperature about 400deg.C, waste plastics will starts to crack and produces a hydrocarbon oil such as fuel or chemical feed.

[Characteristics]

 1. Simple and easy maintenance
    Maintenance is very easy because this system has only one retort. 

 2. Acceptable various plastics
    Polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyester, polyamide, acrylic 
    resin and so on are acceptable.
 
3. No influence with a little amount of foreign substance. 
    No influence even if little amount of sand, grass, paper cloth and metal 
    are contained in the plastics 

 4. Safety design 
    The system is quite safe because there is no valve from the retort to the 
    stack in the main flow and ambient pressure operation is attainable.
