Heat(energy) Utilization
System flow diagram of high efficiency hot water generator
1. Purpose
In general, conventional incinerators of gas cooling type by means of water spray were only capable to recover very smaller quantities of heat than boiler type incinerators. The hot water circulation method has been introduced in our new system to increase its capability to recover energy in form of hot water up to the order of 20%.
2. Capacity
1) Exhaust gas temperature at gas type air preheater inlet: 600 deg.C or less
2) Exhaust gas temperature at gas type air preheater outlet: about 300 deg.C
3) Air temperature at gas type air preheater outlet: about 250 deg.C
4) Air temperature at gas type air preheater inlet: about 110 deg.C
5) Amount of hot water generated: about 20% of refuse heat input
3. Characteristics
1) Conventional incinerators generated hot water by using exhaust gas or
preheated air and energy of reduced temperature exhaust gas or air would
not be recovered.
2) The new high efficiency hot water generator introduced here is designed to
generate hot water by using preheated air which is circulated into a gas
type air preheater to heat it again, thereby increasing the quantity of
recovered heat .
3) The quantity of recovered heat can be controlled by adjusting the air flow
rate of circulated hot air.
4) Since the heat source medium for hot water generation is air, the hot
water generator may not suffer from low temperature corrosion.
