Recycling
The proper waste treatment of increasing volume while protecting environment is a quite important issue facing by the modern communities. Especially municipal solid waste in small communities is hardly to be recycled and is incinerated and land filled mostly. Kobe Steel's Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) manufacturing plant offer one of the recycling method for these waste.
The standard process flow of Kobe Steel's RDF manufacturing system is shown in Fig.1. Incombustibles in the refuse are rejected at the 1st and 2nd crashing and selecting portions. In order to reduce the water content, the refuse is dried till 10% of water content in the dryer. Coarse incombustibles are rejected in the 3rd air blow selector, crashed again and then formed to pellet by the pelletizer.
