MITSUBISHI - MARTIN REFUSE INCINERATION PLANT

1. Purpose

Mitsubishi - Martin refuse incineration plant which plays a vital role in our daily lives, are an effective tool in achieving a better environment. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. is firmly convinced that not only the technologies for incineration but also the consideration for the environmental protection and the utilization of waste heat conform to a full satisfaction of plant owners. With our wealth of experience, advanced technical expertise and full after - care organization, we can provide excellent refuse incineration plants to meet any requirements in any place.

2. Performance

Ignition loss: 1-3 % (600deg.C, 3H)

CO concentration: 10-50 ppm (O2 12%)

ANOx concentration: 100-150 ppm (O2 12%)

3. Characteristics

The Mitsubishi - Martin "reverse - acting stocker" consists of alternate fixed and reciprocating grate bar 'steps'. The reciprocating steps move slowly upwards against the downward flow of refuse to achieve "reverse overall agitation."

Molten lead, aluminum and plastic are volatilized by high pressure combustion air blown up through the grate, avoiding the problem of adhesion.

The grate is subdivided into several zones which are individually supplied with combustion air. The air flow to each zone is controlled to suit combustion conditions .

Reverse overall agitation assures uniformity of the refuse layer and stable combustion condition, for stability of combustion temperature and of steam generation in the boiler.
