Glycol Recycler

Equipment Description

The recycler unit uses a closed-loop process that eliminates the need to drain, transport, store, and dispose of spent antifreeze. Antifreeze coolant is flushed from the engine cooling system, filtered, aerated, oxidized, and mixed with additives to neutralize acids and replace inhibitors. Recycles used antifreeze from engine-driven pieces of support equipment/vehicles, to reduce the quantity of spent antifreeze that must be disposed of, and to minimize the potential for spills.

Benefits of use

Used antifreeze may contain a variety of dissolved heavy metals such as lead, zinc, copper, and iron. Recycling this material reduces hazardous waste generation. In addition, a closed-loop process eliminates direct operator exposure to antifreeze, thereby creating a safer working environment. Reduces requirement for procurement of new antifreeze. Eliminates disposal costs of used antifreeze. Provides a healthier work environment because a closed-loop system eliminates operator exposure to antifreeze.
