Equipment Description Built
with an air-operated vacuum unit, a glovebox media blaster provides a work
station for the economical finishing/cleaning of small parts such as electronics
or workshop instruments. Some have a built-in blaster which recycles grit,
others have a separate switch to accommodate an external blaster for use
when non-recycled media is desired. Can be made of impact and abrasive resistant
plastic, have lighting in the work area, a safety glass window that allows
clear view of work area, accommodate various size pieces, have hand ports
with rubber cuffs, and a dust tray which allows for removal of light dust
separated by the vacuum filter.
Benefits of Use Useful for cleaning smaller components that have been cleaned by using solvents, rags and hand scrubbing. Whereas the bulk rags have to be disposed of after use with the solvents, glass beads and other abrasive media can be reused upwards of 10 times before having to be replaced.
