Equipment Description
Developing
technology used to reduce the use of herbicides and pesticides. System uses
pressurized application of near boiling water to weed growths. Application
breaks down waxy coating on plant leaves. Within 24-48 hours weeds will
dehydrate and die, as will the root system, seeds, nematodes, etc. Can be
used in close proximity to waterways, wells and wildlife refuges. Application
takes longer than herbicides but the effects are broader, safer and less
costly. Hand-held or mounted on vehicles for large scale applications.
Benefits of Use
No pesticides or herbicides left to seep into water table, cleaner biosystems on base, reduces use of herbicides. Treatment is non-selective (will work on most vegetation). Can be used in all weather conditions.
