The Association for Robotics in Hazardous Environments is a new specialty group spun off the Robotics Industry Association. RHE began actively seeking members in April 1994. The association will be completing a suppliers directory in February 1995 to help members know where to go for robotics equipment. An RHE working group has also developed draft procurement guidelines, which are open for review. A dictionary of terms will be developed to accompany the procurement guidelines. To keep members informed about association news, industry events, and robotics developments in industry and government, RHE publishes a quarterly newsletter, Robot Tracks.
