                Scarp tyres: a burning issue. Fred Pearce. 
            Abstract: New methods to dispose Britain's annual 25 million scrap 
            tires have to be disposed as old methods such as tire retreading, 
            tire dumping and tire burning are ineffective and damage the 
            environment. Illegal scrap tire disposal into rivers and streams 
            cause environmental damage. A new energy generating tyre incinerator 
            that is relatively environment-friendly can resolve Britain's tyre 
            disposal problem.
