            Abstract: Scrap tire recovery is progressing significantly in the 
            1990s, and the Scrap Tire Management Council predicts that, by 2000, 
            there will be a market for all of the tires discarded in the US each 
            year. Tire-derived fuel accounts for most of the increase in scrap 
            tire use, but some companies are are developing products based on 
            ground tires. R-B Rubber Products Inc, for example, makes rubber 
            mats from scrap tires.
