It's a proven fact you will save money by reducing the amount of hazardous waste your business produces. Cost savings result from:

And, the less hazardous waster your business generates, the less complex regulatory compliance becomes.

When you reduce hazardous waste, you help protect the public's health and the environment.

Typical hazardous wastes generated by commercial printing shops are wastewater sludges containing heavy metals, silver, ink, and solvents.

Save old inks and market as "house" colors. Recycle used lead dross and dust from linotype printing processes off site. Recover silver from photographic waste using on-site or off-site treatment. Reclaim old plates. Manage your shop with waste reduction in mind.

Sludges and wastewater containing heavy materials, silver, inks, and solvents are banned from disposal at Class I landfills. Depending on your location, waste levels above established local limits will require on-site pretreatment prior to sewer discharge and/or off-site waste management (treatment/disposal) by a licensed hazardous waste treatment/disposal facility.
