The State Property Office has obtained 100 workstations at no cost for use by state agencies. Four workstations have been refurbished for use by office staff.

• The cost of four new workstations is $2,500 per station, compared to $240 per recycled station for delivery and installation. Savings = $9,600
• Recycling workstations helps to sustain the environment by keeping them out of landfills.

A state agency is reusing the remaining 96 workstations to construct 50 useable workstations in a leased facility under construction in Raleigh.

• The cost of 50 new workstations is $2,500 per station compared to $250 per recycled station. Savings = $112,500 (Project is scheduled for Spring 2000)
