It's Time 2 Recycle Pennsylvania
2000 Recycling Poster Contest Winners

The Pennsylvania Recycling Poster Contest, initiated in 1990, encourages recycling education and participation in the state's schools. Schools throughout the Commonwealth are invited to enter the contest - a joint effort of the Pennsylvania Departments of Education and Environmental Protection. Volunteer judges representing Pennsylvania's schools and art and children's organizations select two award winners from each grade.

We hope that this calendar will help students understand the value of recycling and promote its benefits at school and at home. And a reminder to students: Encourage your parents to help close the recycling loop by buying recycled products - in the supermarket, at the mall, and at work.

You can see each award-winning poster by selecting the title below or by touring the galleries. See a photo of the winning artist by selecting their name.
