Air and Waste Management Association
The Air and Waste Management Association (A&WMA)
is a professional society consisting of over 15, 000 members in 65 countries engaged in
environmental management issues. The A&WMA assists in the professional development and
critical environmental decision making of its members to benefit society.
Part of the Association's mission is to promote the international exchange of
information regarding the use of process optimization, recycling and reuse of materials to
reduce the potential for pollution. Within the Technical Council, a Pollution Prevention
Division was formulated which consists of four committees including the Source Reduction
Committee, the Process Optimization Committee, Pollution Prevention Metrics Committee, and
the Global Sustainable Development Committee.
